Our Thinner Rough Scorpion Rattan Sticks have been fire hardened and treated, and include a scorpion burn design. It's your job to make it sting.
Rattan is commonly used for training long blade techniques as well as impact weapons in the Filipino and Indonesian arts. The safety advantage of rattan is that when it breaks, it frays and its fibers degrade rather than splinter and possibly cause a dangerous injury. Sold here as a pair. These are thinner sticks.
Length: 28 - 31 inches
Diameter: Approximately 3/4 to 7/8 inch
Weight: 4 - 8 oz each stick
Although functional, some of the sticks we receive from our supplier simply do not meet our standards for our regular rattan stick. These sticks are rough and sometimes a little ugly. We call these "rough." Although small imperfections on a product that is harvested from nature is to be expected, these are too rough to sell as our premium rattan stick.
The imperfections are mostly cosmetic, and may include small cracks, pits, and deep burn marks. Sometimes they have chop marks from bolos made during harvesting, lumpy nodes, or an overall rough texture. Some of them are a little crooked and some are somewhat tapered. Though they are not beautiful, these sticks work just fine for training. They are a good alternative for training when looking pretty does not matter. Buy the rough sticks to save a little money.
NOTE: The picture here is not the rough scorpion rattan sticks, it is the regular quality. These are clearance items and sold as is.
The inventory we have now is thinner (approximately 3/4 to 7/8 inch) rough scorpion rattan sticks. We currently do not have any medium rough scorpion rattan sticks.
