This karambit design from the Cold Steel Nightshade series is excellent. It is made from Grivory, the latest in fiberglass reinforced plastic stabilized, making them impervious to the elements. Don't confuse this with a training blade; this plastic karambit will cut!

I'm Super execited that I was finally able to get my hands on a solid well built inexpensive karambit.
This is a great weapon for someone that wants to own a solid style of bit but doesn't or cannot afford the price tag on many of the traditional bits out there.
This bit has a great design and size. It's light weight so it makes maneuverability feel free and easy.
It's important to know that it's very sharp, even though it's plastic.
The only con I have for it is that it's unlikely to find any type of sheath that will fit without damaging the sharpness of the plastic.

I ordered 2 of these expecting a cheap a plastic trainer, but instead I received a pair of awesome plastic(still sharp at the point) trainers. Light, easy to handle, nice grip, and easy control. Co-workers want me to order more for them.

I was remarkably pleased when the package containing my FGX Karambit showed up on my doorstep. I opened the box and was surprised at how comfortable, and how much fun this thing is to "play" with. The only reason it did not get a 5 star review was that it is very sharp, and I was intending on using it for sparring. I've stabbed myself and drawn blood a few times already. If you're looking for a knife to do partner drills or spar with, this is not the knife you want. You might inadvertantly kill your partner. However, for solo training this thing is great.

Great for what it is. A plastic replica of the Steel Tiger Karambit. Light, sharp, solid.
