Here is an authentic antique Moro Kris from the Southern Philippines. The Moro Kris is a heavy duty fighting blade that has a notorious history of use in the Mindanao area. This one is possibly a Maranao blade. The scabbard of this kris is decorated with tortoise shell. The steel has very detailed watering patterns from the layering process of forging.
Please note: In addition to some pitting, rust, cracks, and other imperfections, one side of the bottom of the scabbard is missing the small tortoise shell panel. This is an antique blade and therefore is not recommended for use as a practice weapon. Though still intact, the parts are a little fragile due to the age of the item.
