Here is an authentic antique Moro Fighting Barong from the Southern Philippines. The Moro Barong is a thick, cleaver-like fighting blade that has a notorious history of use in the Mindanao and Sulu area. The scabbard of this barong is embellished with aluminum, water buffalo horn, and a fiber wrap. The wooden handle is carved of a burled wood.
This is an antique blade and therefore is not recommended for use as a practice weapon. Though still intact, the parts are a little fragile due to the age of the item.
